Mr EN Shikongo

BA (Law), BLL

Mr Shikongo received his BA (Law) from the University of Western Cape (Cape Town) and his Bachelor of Legislative Law from the University of Cape Town.  He is currently principal partner at Shikongo Law Chamber in Windhoek, Namibia.  Mr Shikongo is a past president of the Law Society of Namibia and specializes in high level commercial transactions, litigation arbitration and legal consultancies.  He has acted as a judge of the High Court of Namibia and has served several private and public institutions, primarily as a board chairman.

For the last two years, Mr Shikongo has been a member of the board of Brazil-based HRT Oil and Gas, listed on both the Brazilian and Canadian stock exchanges.

Mr Karl Hartmann

Since graduating as geologist in 1982, Karl has worked as mine geologist for a number of mines in Namibia and Peru and spent several years exploring for gold in the central Andes and in north-eastern DRC. He was the site manager of the Skorpion Zinc Project during the feasibility stage, running regional exploration and was mine geologist during the first years at the mine.

For the past 9 years he was the exploration manager, country manager and Acting CEO in Namibia, where the main focus is the Omitiomire copper project.

Sigrid Hartmann

Administration Manager/Company Secretary - Craton

Mrs Hartmann is a Senior Manager with a successful background in managing teams.

Mrs Hartmann assisted the Namibian exploration manager and IBML with the start-up of this exploration in 2007.

Mrs Hartmann manages Craton Mining and Exploration’s Administration, Human Resource, accounting departments and she oversees the OHSE program.

In 2010 Mrs Hartmann had a significant role in the start-up of the Craton Foundation Trust, which serves as the corporate responsibility arm of the company. She acts as facilitator of all aspects of the Craton Foundation and serves on their Board as both settlor and company secretary. The Craton Foundation Trust assists beneficiaries with their educational or social needs.

Mr Purvance Heuer

Non-Executive Director

Mr Heuer has been a Chartered Accountant in Namibia since 2004.  He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Namibia and carries the CA (NAM) designation.  He completed his articles at PwC and subsequently worked in New York and Edinburgh, gaining wide experience in the financial services and banking industries.

Back in Namibia, Mr Heuer held positions as Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and CEO of a Namibian-listed company.  Since 2013, he has been Head of Corporate Finance with Simonis Storm Securities, a Namibian stock broker.

Mr Heuer also holds Board positions with a number of Namibian financial services companies

Mr Zhehong Luo

Mr Luo graduated as a BSc from the University of Warwick in England and on return from England in 2005 he started a real estate business and held the position of President- Executive Director of Hangzhou Hongcheng Real Estate Co. Ltd. In 2009 Mr Luo was appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Qinghai West Resources Co. Ltd and Chairman of Qinghai West Rare and Precious Metals Co. Ltd. Under his leadership, these companies have discovered and have developed a number of significant base metal deposits in China.

Mr Qiang Chen

Mr Luo Zhehong has appointed Mr Chen Qiang as his alternate Director. Mr Chen, a resident of Perth, has extensive experience in international commodities trading and private equity investment. In the 1990s, Mr Chen was the Marketing Manager of China Metallurgical Import and Export Company Australia Pty Ltd (CMIEC).

Mr Chen established PT Group, a specialised global trading house, in 1996 and in a decade has built up the company into a well-known iron ore trading company. In 2002, he established Brown Stone Group, a private equity investment company, with interests in Australia and China.  Since 2006, Mr Chen has been the Managing Director of West Minerals Pty Ltd, a company associated with China’s West Resources Co., Ltd.

Mr Hugh Thomas

Hugh Thomas is the Chairman of International Base Metals Limited and has had significant experience in the resource sector as a company director, senior financial executive and investment banker working throughout the Asian region, including China, as well as parts of Africa. He has a deep understanding of the complexities that are frequently involved in establishing new projects and in negotiating transactions in culturally diverse jurisdictions.

Mr Thomas was based in Hong Kong for several years in senior positions with JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley, returning to Australia in 2011 to take up a senior position with South African investment bank, Investec, in Sydney. Since 2014, Mr Thomas has worked as an independent investment banker and company director, based in Sydney.
