About IBML
Formed in 2001, IBML achieved early exploration success in discovery of an oxide copper resource at Mount Kelly in northwest Queensland in 2003. In 2004, the merger of IBML’s northwest Queensland subsidiary with other assests in the region created CopperCo Limited as a new copper company, which commenced production at Mount Kelly in 2007.
In 2006 and 2007 IBML successfully listed two exploration companies on the ASX – Copper Range Limited (projects in South Australia) and Zamia Metals Limited (projects in central Queensland).
In late 2006, IBML turned its attention to Namibia. With new funding from a number of investors, notably West Minerals Pty Ltd, IBML farmed into several attractive exploration tenements and established a subsidiary company, Craton Mining and Exploration (Pty) Ltd (‘Craton’). Craton delineated a major new copper deposit, at Omitiomire, with a resource of over 700,000 tonnes of contained copper and carried out scoping and feasibility studies on the project.
IBML has other exploration projects in Nambia and in New South Wales. Recently IBML has also been seeking opportunities in Australian gold projects.
